This is an excellent example of a very scarce and desirable Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol. The top of the chamber area is stamped "1941" for the year of manufacture with the large Mauser/Banner logo on the front toggle. The eagle "L" Police stamp is located on the right side of the receiver, with the commercial "eagle/N" commercial proofmarks stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The full serial number "1759" is stamped on the front of the frame and the left side of the barrel extension, with the last two digits of the serial number on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. This Complete with one all blue "fxo" magazine that has a blued body and pinned aluminum base that has the pistol serial number (1759y) and the Police magazine number "1".

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 98% plus of the original rust blue finish, with only very minor edge and high spot wear overall. The grips are also excellent with only a couple of minor handling marks with nice sharp checkering. All matching numbers except the firing pin which is unnumbered and the grips which are numbered 39 on the back side, but still have the late war "Eagle 655" proofmarks. Mechanically excellent. The magazine has also been renumbered as noted above. A very desirable Mauser Banner Nazi Police Luger.
