Description:

This is an example of a first pattern Luftwaffe dagger as manufactured by WMW Waffen. 12 inch blade, OAL 18 inches. It has an alloy guard and pommel with sun wheel swastikas, and wire wrapped leather grip. Comes with a leather scabbard with alloy fitting and chain hanger. The throat of the scabbard is engraved "Klaus/Gautlitz/K/G" and the hanger is marked "GES. GESCH".

Rating Definition:

Very good. The guard and pommel have taken on an aged patina with some scuffing on the leather. The blade has limited light spotting. The scabbar has some missing leather with the hardware having an aged patina.
