Top of right barrel marked "VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD" and left barrel marked "U.S. AGENTS NEW YORK". Proofs on the underside of the barrels and water table. Exceptionally fine English scroll engraved action and side plates, marked "A. FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE LIEGE BELGIUM" on both sides. Scrollwork extends to break lever and trigger guard with an engraved pattern on a matte background on the fences. Double triggers, tang mounted automatic safety, with gold "S" and mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut splinter forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with a solid Decelerator recoil pad and silver initial oval. Length of pull is 13 1/2 inches.

Very good plus overall, with the barrels retaining a 98% professionally restored blue finish. The trigger guard retains 90% original blue finish with loss due to flaking and there is a smooth brownish gray patina on the exposed surfaces. The action and locks retain 90% original case colors with some fading to a grayish brown with more hues and color in the protected areas. The markings are clear and sharp. The wood is very good overall with a few minor dents on the forearm, and some minor scratches and handling marks, with very crisp checkering. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent.
