This is a magnificent special order, custom built, engraved and gold inlaid Model 21 Grand American double barrel shotgun done by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company. The two 12 gauge barrel sets are equipped with a single red bead sight on the matte vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choked full/modified and improved cylinder/modified, with ejectors. The top rear of the left barrel is marked "MODEL 21 -CSM-/TRADE MARK - 12 GAUGE 2 3/4". The bottom of the barrels are marked "CT. SHOTGUN MFG./NEW BRITAIN, CT. U.S.A.". The barrel flats, breech face, lugs, ejectors and inside of forearm hardware are jeweled. The barrels share the same Grade AA fancy Fluer-de-Lis checkered walnut beavertail forearm with ebony forend insert and floral scroll engraved hardware. The receiver is nicely engraved with floral scroll patterns surrounding a gold inlaid hunting dog on each side, and two pheasants in a wooded scene on the bottom. The same engraving pattern extends to the break lever and upper and lower tang. In addition, there is a gold inlaid head of a dog on the trigger guard. The receiver also features feather design bordering. Gold washed single selective trigger and tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE". Mounted with grade AA, fancy Fleur-de-Lis, hand checkered, American walnut straight grip stock with bare checkered butt and gold initial oval. Length of pull is 14 5/8 inches. Complete in a leather case with stitched leather corner protectors, double straps and wine colored felt lining. There is a leather label affixed to the inside of the lid which is gold embossed "CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN MFG. CO./NEW BRITAIN, CONNECTICUT/Galazan logo/MODEL 21/GALAZAN/TRADEMARK". Included in the case is a black leather pouch containing cleaning rod attachments, a "MODEL 21" marked gold plated oiler, two gold plated snap caps and a key.

Excellent plus with 99% plus original blue finish (both barrel sets included), with loss limited to some bright wear on the upper tang from normal cycling of the safety lever. The wood is excellent with a few light handling and storage marks, and sharp checkering. All of the gold inlay remains. The case is excellent, all gold remains on the oiler and snap caps.
