This is a contemporary cutaway demonstration model of an M1 carbine with a "5-43" dated Inland barrel. The adjustable rear peep sight is marked "".R.C.O." The entire left side of the receiver, left rear side of the barrel, left side of the magazine, top of the receiver and top of the bolt have cut-outs to demonstrate the workings of the carbine.

Excellent, retaining 99% of the reparkerized finish with some minor pitting near the barrel muzzle. The wood is excellent with a few barely noticeable handling marks.
