According to the included factory letter, this pistol was originally used by Colt as a show display piece and later kept as a factory sample. The letter also confirms the engraving motif and features. Manufactured with fixed low profile combat sights. The left side of the slide is engraved "SILVER STAR 45" with a five point star between silver and star, the right side of the slide is marked "COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL". The top of the slide has a matte finish while the rest of the gun is polished stainless. With box numbered to the gun, factory letter, a wooden display case with a plaque, and shipping box renumbered to the gun.

Near new with only the slightest handling marks overall. Case is also near new with slight handling marks. Box is good and shipping box is very good.
