This was Smith & Wesson's initial production of the 32 caliber rimfire short revolver (a larger version of the No. 1 .22 RF Model) that were produced from 1865 to 1868. This was also the only tip up model to have the cylinder stops on the bottom strap of the frame. Standard two line address/patent dates on top of the rib. The matching serial number is marked on the butt, rear face of the cylinder, barrel and barrel latch. Nickel finish with casehardened hammer, blue latch, trigger and ejector, pinned blade front and notch rear sights. Fitted with smooth pearl grips. Comes with a maroon hinged lid box with directions for use label on the inside of the lid, bore brush and cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The revolver retains 99% of the original nickel finish with a small amount of minor flaking on the cylinder and frame, and some minor wear on the cylinder and frame ahead of the trigger. The hammer retains 95% original case colors. The grips are also excellent with some minor scuffing. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The box is very fine with some corner and edge wear.
