Description:

This Victorian era sword measures 34 1/2 inches overall, with a 28 inch double edged spear point blade, a diamond cross section and some illegible markings. Fitted with a pair of turned cross guard quillons, 6 1/4 inches across, with a one handed grip of alternating ivory and stamped steel panels, and a 2 1/2 inch wide disc pommel with raised floral decorations on each side surrounding an impressed silver disc bearing a bust of Mercury. Rating Definition:

Fair, with a mixed gray patina on the metal, showing areas of brown and scattered pitting. The ivory panels show a number of cracks.
