Two Unique Metal Profile Figure Trick Shooter Target Boards
The two metal target boards, one Indian head and one Uncle Sam profile are attributed to Ad Topperwein. Ad Topperwein and his wife traveled the country and performed shooting exhibitions from the early to mid 1900's for Winchester. The tin plate heads were normally shot as the closing act. The tin targets are mounted on 1/4 inch plywood with stained soft wood molding around the front edges. They appear authentic of the period, but we have no way to document these unique piece to the Topperweins. They are both, nonetheless, totally unique and are important no matter who shot them!
