This outstanding example of a Model 71 rifle was manufactured in 1956 when the original purchase price with $100.30. Standard Winchester factory markings including the factory oval proof on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Equipped with a beaded front sight on a ramp base with removable cover and Winchester 22 K sporting rear sight. The rifle has the factory hanging tag. Mounted on a sporting type pistol grip stock with a semi-beavertail forearm made of straight grain American walnut. The buttstock is fitted with a checkered steel shotgun buttplate. The factory box is numbered to the gun comes with the shipping sleeve dated January 29, 1957, protective paper and cardboard partitions. The box has the correct white end label with blue text. Also with the rifle is the instructions pamphlet.
