Description:

1) Silver accented flask, 7 3/4 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide, with a gilt brass spigot, bronze seam, and a silver shield initialed "E.L" on one side. 2) Animal hide flask, 4 1/2 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches tall, with a swiveling spigot, 4 suspension rings, and brass fittings. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Rating Definition:

1) Fine, with a few small holes on the horn, strong traces of original gilt finish, and a deep patina on the metal. 2) Very good, with some verdigris on the spigot, an aged patina on the metal, and mild wear on the skin.
