Produced for the Eastern Trade without sights, the barrel is secured with a 6 5/8 inch long wraparound silver finished band with raised bead floral scroll and geometric designs. The rear 2/3rds is covered in deeply chiseled scrollwork surrounding grotesque masks and a set of 3 square floral brass inserts. The lock is unmarked, and equipped with a ball trigger. Full length stock, which is fully covered in textured black leather and fitted with a wide full length upper tang and a flared ball pommel constructed from solid ivory, measuring 1 3/5 inches long and 2 inches wide, with a lanyard ring on the butt. Good with a mixed gray patina on the steel, darker in the protected areas, and some minor pitting around the touchhole. The barrel band is good with a small section about the size of an eraser head, absent from the right rear and a small crack on the left. The stock is good, with some minor cracks and loss. The ivory is very good with minimal age cracking and highly attractive grain and color. Mechanically very good.
