Description:

The left side of the frame has four European hallmarks (silver) with no maker markings (possibly English). The left side of the frame has a light floral scroll border engraving which is also featured around the touch hole. A dragon is engraved on the right side of the frame. The rotating scale is graduated from 1 to 14. The one piece bird head style grip has a silver wire inlaid pattern which incorporates four mythical bird type heads. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The silver shows some aging in the protected areas with the engraving and proofs remaining crisp and clear. The grip is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks. Most of the wire inlay remains.
