Fair. The metal surfaces have a gray patina with some minor pitting left side of the breech and frame, and on the barrel. The grip is also fair with some extensive visible wear, a few minor pressure dents and crisp checkering. The action is a bit stiff, but functions well.

The pistol has a Liege ELG and "crown/AF" proofs. The frame has a floral type engraving and the folding trigger is engraved. The hammer has a sliding safety. The bird head shaped grip is checkered with carved shell patterns at the frame. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Good. The barrel retains streaks of original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina and limited light pitting. The wrench lug on the barrel has been removed. The remaining metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina. The grip is fine with a few minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically fine.
