The lockplate is signed "Mich[illegible] Bordeaux". The smooth bore barrel has a cannon type muzzle. The nicely figured walnut stock has a blank silver initial oval which is surrounded by a silver wire pattern accented with dots and is fitted with an iron butt cap. The furniture is iron and the derringer has a horn ramrod. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Good. The metal surfaces have a mottled gray patina showing some very scattered light pitting. The stock is very fine with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
