This is a large bore example of a Massive Japanese Matchlock longarm that was most likely a fortress defense weapon. Blade front and square block rear sights, with a swamped cannon muzzle, integral forged flashpan, internal mainspring, iron match serpentine and triangular trigger stud. Smooth stock, with a wood ramrod.

Very good, with a dark brown patina on the steel components, and well aged brass. The pins securing the barrel to the stock are absent. Stock is good, with a replaced section ahead of the trigger, mild cracking and varnish loss. Mechanically needs adjustment
