Produced without sights for the Eastern Trade, the barrels are mounted in an over/under configuration, with a single reinforcing band at the cannon muzzles, raised decorations partitioning the barrels, individual flashpans with swiveling covers, and a pair of smooth forearm pieces, one on each side. The lockplate bears a punch dot marking, which appears to read "145H*H*BND", with dot borders. A swivel catch is mounted on the underside, ahead of the skeletonized, engraved trigger. Smooth grip, with a drilled-through lanyard hole and a rounded pommel. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Rating Definition:

Fair, with a mixed brown and gray patina overall, showing some mild spotting and handling marks. The wood is good, with some chipping at the grip and scattered dings. Mechanically very good.
