Patented January 1, 1867, this alarm has two cannon-shaped barrels with a shared percussion nipple mounted on a swivel, 3 attachment points for tripwires and a spring loaded hammer with 3-dimensional dog design. The owner could load one or both barrels with any significant movement of the barrels firing the weapon. Three-legged base with claws at the ends and patent markings on top.

Fair with pitting and a mixed brown patina. Nipple is battered and one of the tripwire mounting points is damaged, otherwise mechanically very good.
