The left side of the slide has the "byf/42" marking with the right side having two "Eagle/135" proofs and a firing proof. Additional "Eagle/135" proofs are present on the frame and barrel lug. Visible "a" block serial numbers match with the slide number have a rest amped "6" (likely factory). The magazine has an "Eagle/135" proof on the spine and "P.38" is marked on the lower left side. Standard ribbed grips.

Very fine. The pistol retains 80% original blue finish showing a smooth gray patina on the front grip strap and some minor high edge wear. The grips are excellent with a few very minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
