Description:

1) Handmade alarm gun that has two opposing hammers that when released hit blank rimfire cartridges. Marked "PAT JULY. 20. 1880". With a wooden base. 2) Belgian proofed 16 gauge pinfire trap/alarm gun. There is a four pronged brass trigger with holes in three prongs for trip wire with the fourth holding the long steel hammer. There is a swiveling safety on top of the barrel and the barrel pivots open to load and unload. There is a tab on the side of the barrel with a hole that corresponds to a hole in the base for securing the barrel closed and attachment to an object. With an empty 16 gauge paper pinfire casing.

Rating Definition:

1) Fair, the metal components have a rough brown patina with some pitting. The base is good with a dark patina. Does not function correctly. 2) Good, there is a rough mottled brown/gray patina overall. The brass has a dark aged patina. Functions correctly. Casing is very good.
