This steel gripped P38 variant is referred to by collectors as the "Gray Ghost P38". The left side of the slide has the "byf/44" marking with the right side having an "Eagle/WaA135" proof, Waffenamt firing proof and French star proof. Left side of barrel lug has an "Eagle/WaA135" proof. Visible "h" block serial numbers are matching. Fitted with ribbed steel grips. The "P.38" marked magazine has an "Eagle/WaA135" proof and "jvd" on the spine.

Very fine. The pistol retains 95% dark blue/phosphate finish with the thinning on the front strap and some minor high edge wear. The grips are excellent showing some gray on the high edges. Mechanically excellent.
