The rifle is equipped with a hooded ramp front sight and a three leaf rear sight on a solid matte rib marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.G. OBERNDORF AM NECKAR". The rear sight has two folding leafs and one standing which are marked "100", "200" and "300". The fixed leaf is marked "100." The top of the receiver ring has the three line Oberndorf address of "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER A-G/OBERNDORF A/N" and the left receiver wall is stamped with the one line Oberndorf address. The left side of the receiver ring is stamped with "crown/B" and "crown/U" proofs and the serial number. The crown proofs are also stamped on the bolt handle. The bolt assembly is numbered to the gun. Single plain trigger, hinged floor plate and sling swivels. Mounted with a fancy walnut pistol grip stock featuring checkering on the grip area, contrasting horn Schnabel tip forearm, round knob grip, right handed cheekpiece and a checkered buttplate with the Mauser monogram.

Excellent with 90% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, chiefly on the receiver, along with some light edge wear and handling marks. The stock is very fine with mild pressure dents, crisp checkering and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent.
