Manufactured in 1956 when the original purchase price was $124.45. The rifle has standard Winchester factory markings including the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Equipped with a hooded ramp 103C bead front sight and a Winchester 70 B roll-over rear sight with the receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Straight receiver tang, hinged floor plate, polished bolt numbered to the gun and late safety. The checkered Monte Carlo stock features sling swivels and a factory installed solid recoil pad. With the hanging tag, instructions and factory box numbered to the gun. The box has the original cardboard partitions and oiled protective paper. The yellow factory end label on the box correctly lists the caliber and type of stock. Also included are 2 boxes of 375 H & H ammunition and 2 framed ads.

Near new in box with a few very scattered light handling marks overall. The box is fine with corner separation on one end of the lid. The ammunition and framed ads are very good. Truly a spectacular pre-64 Model 70 rifle in 375 H&H Magnum with original box that would be difficult to improve!
