This is a nice example of a Michael Lewis custom Hepburn target rifle. The only marking on the rifle is the serial number on the lower tang. The barrel is equipped with a hooded spirit level front sight and there are no provisions for a rear sight. It has a mid-range tang mounted peep sight, casehardened frame and breech block lever, with blue remaining parts and mounted with a nicely figured checkered walnut forearm with steel forend and round knob pistol grip stock with a Decelerator recoil pad. Comes with 2 RCBS 2 38-50 Rem. Hepburn die sets, 1 4-D Custom Die co. 38-50 Remington die set, RCBS 38-50 caliber bullet mold and Hoch 38-50 caliber bullet mold.

Professionally refinished with the barrel having faded to an attractive smooth brown. The breech block and hammer retain 98% blue finish with some edge wear. The frame and lever retain 98% bright case colors with some mild fading to gray. The wood is excellent with a few minor scratches and dents, and sharp checkering. The action is excellent.
