Nicely figured walnut stock with nickel plated attaching iron, serial numbered "12478" and marked with a broad arrow on the lower tang and checkered hard rubber buttplate with the S&W logo in a shield. Screws properly enter the stock from the right side which is a feature unique to the Australian stocks.

Fine. The stock shows a number of small pressure dents and dings. The attaching iron retains 95% original nickel finish with some small areas of pin prick type pitting. The buttplate is excellent.
