Manufactured in 1940 and later embellished by Paul Jaeger, Inc. The revolver features an exquisite, well executed floral scroll and punch dot relief pattern covering most of the metal surfaces with gold inlaid borders and five gold inlaid animals. The master scroll engraving covers the barrel and right side of the ejector rod housing with the top and left side of the ejector housing having a light engraving. The right side of the ejector rod housing is signed "PAUL JAEGER, INC. JENKINTOWN, PA." Bands of gold inlay are featured on the barrel at the muzzle and breech with an ornate gold line inlaid pattern around the front sight. The scrollwork with gold inlaid borders extends to the grip straps and cylinder with a checkered engraved pattern just behind the trigger guard. The frame has a gold inlaid rearing bear on the right side and a gold inlaid running prong on the left side. The recoil shield has a gold inlaid buffalo, the loading gate has a gold inlaid mountain lion and the top of the back strap has a gold inlaid cowboy on horseback. The sides of the hammer are jeweled. The screw heads are engraved. The right side of the grip straps under the grip are numbered to the gun and the loading gate has the assembly number "384." The barrel retains the original Colt markings and the frame has the serial number on the underside which is the only original Colt factory marking remaining on the frame. The ivory grips have American eagles carved with exquisite detail. With the gun is a Colt presentation case. Started in Germany in 1932, Paul Jaeger, Inc. produced quality custom order firearms and dealt in all aspects of the gun business including retail, wholesale, distributing, importing and servicing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship exhibited on this revolver is exactly what one would expect from a Paul Jaeger master engraver.

Very fine as professionally embellished by a Paul Jaeger, Inc. master engraver. The revolver retains nearly all of the blue finish with a few light handling marks. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. The ivory has a very attractive grain pattern and color. A perfect addition to a Colt Single Action Army collection or a custom engraved Colt collection!
