Description:

Manufactured in 1909. The top of the slide has a non-factory but still professionally executed inscription: "Police Captain Wm M. Hynds/from/Eustis L. Hopkins/President of the Village of Larchmont/In recognition of his faithful/services to the Village/1900-1909." William M. Hynds served as the Larchmont (New York) Police Chief from 1902 to 1934. The engraving is left in the white. The slide has the two block, two line Colt patent dates and Hartford address with a circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations and the right side has the two line caliber marking. Fitted with checkered "COLT" banner and Rampant Colt grips. All blue unmarked magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original high polished blue finish with the thinning on the grip straps and some light spotting/pitting on the lower forward right side of frame and slide. The grips are excellent with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
