The barrel is marked "SA/flaming bomb/8- 22" just behind the standard front sight and is marked "U.S./SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY/MODEL OF 1922/CAL. .22" on the front receiver ring. There is a Lyman 48C rear peep sight mounted on the right rear of the receiver. The bright "WL3" bolt is unnumbered and has a headless cocking piece. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with a checkered steel cupped buttplate. With a front sight cover.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, 70% of the original blue finish remains with some scattered small spots of pitting, some scratches, a few cleaned areas and wear overall. The lightly sanded and reoiled stock is fine with a few scattered minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
