Description:

Manufactured in 1915. The top of the barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/10 - 15". The floor plate tang is stamped with the flaming bomb over "N.R.A", there is a circled "P" proofmark on the bottom of the wrist and there is a boxed "J.S.A" cartouche on the left side of the wrist. The blue bolt is unnumbered and has an "I8" steel lot code. Mounted on a straight grip walnut stock with checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor (empty).

Rating Definition:

Fine, the barrel retains 40% of the original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear and scratches. The front sight, barrel bands and rear sight base have a plum patina overall. The receiver and floor plate retain 30% of the original blue finish with some wear and minor freckling. The bolt shows moderate cycling wear. The lightly sanded stock has been revarnished and remains good with the cartouches faint, some scattered moderate scratches, and scattered minor scratches and dings.
