This example was manufactured in 1938 with the standard sights and the barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/1- 38" behind the front sight. The "N.S." marked bolt is unnumbered with a dark green parkerized finish. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock without grasping grooves, a boxed "S.A./S.P.G." cartouche on the left side of the wrist, a circled "P" proofmark on the bottom of the wrist, the drawing number "D1836-4" between the grip cap area and rear sling swivel, and a checkered steel buttplate. With a front sight cover.

Excellent, 95% parkerized finish on the receiver with some scattered minor scratches, dings and rub marks. The barrel retains 90% blue finish with some scratches and rub marks. The stock is very fine with scattered scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
