The barrel has the one line Hartford address surrounded by an ornate dot and line border on top and the left side has the Colt model/caliber marking inside a box. A scroll and punch dot engraving is featured on the sides of the barrel at the muzzle and breech with a punch dot engraving inside an oval surrounding the front sight. The top of the ejector rod housing features a zig zag line and dot pattern. The frame has the two line, three patent dates marking with the Rampant Colt on the left side and has the scroll and punch dot engraving. The frame screw heads are engraved. The top strap has a leaf engraved pattern. The loading gate has a geometric engraving. The cylinder has multiple types of engraved patterns including a zig zag line and dot motif on the flutes, scroll and punch dot pattern on the chambers and a combination of scrollwork and geometric patterns at the rear. The back strap has wedges of scrollwork at the top and at the bottom with the top of the grip strap featuring a geometric pattern similar to the pattern found on the loading gate. The trigger guard has a star burst pattern. The trigger guard is marked with the Colt triangle proof and "V" on the left side and "P" on the right side. The grip straps are numbered to the gun with the loading gate having the assembly number "646." "SC" serial numbers were reserved for S. Colt sesquicentennial commemorative revolvers. Fitted with stag grips. With the revolver is a wooden presentation case line in blue felt.

Very fine as custom embellished. The revolver retains nearly all of the nickel plating with a few light handing marks and traces of a cylinder drag line. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks. The case is fine with some minor scratches.
