This example was manufactured in 1956, the first year of production. It has the standard markings and features. The front of the cylinder, the loading gate and the rear of the frame are stamped with the assembly number "967". The right side of the trigger guard is stamped with an "X" and the left side has the "VP" in a triangle proofmark along with a "P". Both of the grip straps are stamped with the full serial number "1884SA". Fitted with a set of checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt at the top. Both of the grips are marked on the inside "1884". With the original box numbered to the gun.

Excellent, 99% plus of the original blue finish remains with some minor high edge wear, a few scattered minor scratches and a slight drag line on the cylinder. The frame retains 99% of the original case colors with only a couple small scratches. Both grips are also excellent with only a few slight handling marks. The box is very good with several splits and some wear.
