Manufactured in 1906. Pinned brass blade front and folding leaf carbine rear sights, saddle ring and stud on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is marked with the two line address/patent date ahead of the rear sight followed by the Winchester oval proof, nickel steel and smokeless powder marking below the rear sight and "30 W.C.F." at the breech. The Winchester factory proof is also marked on top of the receiver at the breech. Three line model, maker trade mark upper tang marking and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. 1/2 magazine tube and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate. The accompanying factory letter verifies the carbine configuration, 30 caliber, half magazine, that it was received in the warehouse on September 10, 1906 and shipped with 1 other gun the next day to order number 69155.

Very fine. The carbine retains 70% plus original blue finish with areas thinning to a smooth plum and gray patina, and showing some edge wear. Much of the somewhat muted original case colors remain with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The buttplate has a smooth brownish gray patina. The wood is also very fine with a few minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
