Description:

This example has a German silver blade front sight and an R.S. Lawrence adjustable ladder rear sight. The top of the barrel is stamped with the three-line address and "NEW MODEL 1863" with left side of the barrel at the breech stamped "E.P.R.". The left side of the receiver has the patent marking and the right side has two patent markings. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with saddle ring bar and smooth steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Good, the barrel has a mostly smooth mottled gray/brown patina with some minor pitting and scratches. The receiver has a mostly smooth brown patina with some areas of silvery gray. The stock is fair with a several long repaired cracks in the buttstock. Forearm lightly sanded, but good. Mechanically fine.
