The upper tang has the two line Remington patent dates marking and the two barrel bands are stamped with the letter "U". Ladder rear sight, cleaning rod, and sling swivels with a smooth full length stock fitted with a "US" marked buttplate. The left side of the stock wrist has a cartouche. The socket bayonet is marked "US" and has a scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Extremely fine. The receiver retains 95% original case colors and the remaining metal surfaces have an attractive untouched armory bright appearance. The stock is very fine with a putty filled repair, a few large pressure dents and some minor handling marks. The cartouche is clear. Mechanically excellent.
