Rating Definition:

Excellent. The carbine retains 90% plus original blue finish showing some thinning to a brown with some very scattered light spotting. The underside of the barrel has an area of gray light pitting. The breechblock and tang retain 98% plus original case colors. The stock is also excellent with a couple pressure dents and some minor handling marks with a barely noticeable hairline crack present on left side of stock protruding from rear sling bar base. The cartouche is clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent. We have auctioned very few that were better than this example!
