Description:

No visible makers marking, serial number on the right side of the frame, offset sights and sling swivel on the left side of the frame. No cover on the modified percussion wheel (screw in nipple and rewelded modified lever and sear assembly) and mounted with a smooth straight grip walnut stock. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Rating Definition:

Poor as modified and refinished. The metal has a dark artificial brown patina with overall scattered minor to moderate pitting. The loading lever spring and turret cover are absent. The stock is good with a chip on the wrist at the receiver and on the toe. The buttplate is ill-fitting and the tang screw is absent. The action is fine.
