1) The rapier in this lot is 45 1/2 inches in overall length, is outfitted with a 37 1/2 inch doubled edged blade, square cross-section triple fuller ricasso, pierced-through cup guards with cruciform design and riveted support arms, straight 10 1/4 inch cross guards, wire wrapped grips and apple shaped pommels. 2) Main-gauche, 22 1/2 inches overall with a 16 7/8 inch 5-fulled blade with round cuts, 12 1/2 inch cross guard, knuckle guard with engraved cross decoration, wire wrapped grip and round pommel. 1) Fair, with rust on the blade, corrosion and wear on the cup guard, and some unraveling of the grip wire. 2) Fine, with a mixed brown and gray patina on the blade, dark brown on the hilt, and scattered handling marks.
