Description:

1) The rapier in this lot is 45 1/2 inches in overall length, is outfitted with a 37 1/2 inch doubled edged blade, square cross-section triple fuller ricasso, pierced-through cup guards with cruciform design and riveted support arms, straight 10 1/4 inch cross guards, wire wrapped grips and apple shaped pommels. 2) Main-gauche, 22 1/2 inches overall with a 16 7/8 inch 5-fulled blade with round cuts, 12 1/2 inch cross guard, knuckle guard with engraved cross decoration, wire wrapped grip and round pommel. Rating Definition:

1) Fair, with rust on the blade, corrosion and wear on the cup guard, and some unraveling of the grip wire. 2) Fine, with a mixed brown and gray patina on the blade, dark brown on the hilt, and scattered handling marks.
