Description:

Produced in the Victorian era, this example has a close style helmet with raised comb and plume holder. There are roped edges on most of the elements. Early style elbow cops and winged knee cops. Fully articulating finger gauntlets. Tassets are 3/4 length. Plain sabatons. With a scaled two handed sword. On a red velvet covered base that measures 2 3/4 inches tall x 8 inches wide x 8 inches deep. The harness stands 31 inches tall with plume x 10 1/2 inches wide x 8 inches deep. Miniature suits of armor were often made by apprentices as a requirement prior to their admission to a master armorer’s guild.

Rating Definition:

Good, the harness has a number of areas with minor pitting, some areas of moderate pitting and some minor oxidation. The sword is very good. The velvet on the base is fair. A well constructed example with correctly working elements.
