Description:

Manufactured circa 1835 in Oxford, England. Brass bead front and notch rear sights with "OXFORD" on the top flat, light scroll engraving on top of the chamber, and more engraving on the tang. The lock is marked "FIELD" with a sliding half-cock safety, fish-head engraved hammer, and raised fences. Checkered bag grip stock with a swiveling ramrod, German silver wedge escutcheons, engraved triggerguard and a German silver inscription panel on top of the wrist.

Rating Definition:

Good with a mixed brown and gray patina overall. Showing minor pitting on and around the bolster and muzzle. Stock is very good as revarnished with some mild dents and handling marks. Mechanically very good.
