Manufactured without sights, with a widely flared muzzle and deeply cut floral and scroll patterns, possibly inlay channels, on top of the barrel. The lock is marked with a rearing lion in front of the hammer and the date "1818" stamped vertically behind the hammer. Mediterranean-style hooked stock with over 100 triangular and diamond shaped mother of pearl inlays on the sides of the buttstock, left stock flat and underside of the forearm.

Good as assembled. A mottled gray patina is present on the barrel and action, and the trigger guard has a smooth dark patina. There is extensive moderate pitting on the barrel. Refinished stock, with a number of pressure dents, a few gouges near the muzzle, chips, and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
