Description:

1) Spanish profile rapier, manufactured circa 1630. 47 inches overall, with a 40 1/2 inch blade, marked illegibly in the deep fullers, with a hexagonal/diamond cross section. Enlarged clamshell languets, with 12 1/2" wide crossguard, braided wire grip, and serrated oval pommel. 2) Spanish cup-hilt rapier, 41 inches overall, with a 34 inch hexagonal/diamond blade, cup hilt with floral engraving and cut-through crescent designs, an 11 inch crossguard, octagonal hardwood grip and a round pommel. Rating Definition:

Both rapiers are fair as repaired/refitted, with a mixed gray and brown patina, mild spotting, and solid hilts.
