This example was manufactured in 1940 and has the standard low-profile fixed sights. The left side of the slide is marked with the 5 patent dates and address in two lines with the Rampant Colt in the center. The left side of the frame is stamped "CSR" under the slide stop and "P" near the magazine release. The right side of the slide is blank and the right side of the frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Fitted with a set of fully checkered Coltrock grips.

Fine as refinished, 98% of the dark blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches and some minor high edge wear. Some of the markings have been touched up and there are some small scattered pits under the finish. The grips are both excellent with some scattered minor scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
