Manufactured in 1943. The matching serialized slide is marked on the left side with the two block patent and address markings with the Rampant Colt in the center. The slide is marked with the matching serial number under firing pin stop plate. The barrel is marked with an "S" in front of lug. The left side of the frame is marked "G.H.D." under the slide stop with a "P" near the magazine release. The right side is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY". Fitted with a set of checkered brown plastic grips with wide reinforcing rings, a "4" mold mark on inside of left grip and a "7" on inside of right grip. With a tan leather flap holster with "US" embossed on the flap and "BOYT/44" stamped on the backside.

Excellent with 98% plus of the original Parco-Lubrite finish remains with some high edge and cycling wear. There is a slight takedown scratch along with a few scattered scratches and rub marks. The grips are excellent with a few scattered minor marks. Mechanically excellent. Holster is near new, unissued with some small scratches and scuff marks.
