Description:

This revolver is one of only 926 Colt Model 1905 Double Action Revolvers purchased by the Marine Corps between 1905 and 1909. The butt is marked with the USMC number (313) in front of the lanyard swivel and "U.S./M.C." behind it. The barrel has the two line Hartford address/patent dates along with "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. A circled Rampant Colt is stamped on the left rear of the frame above the grip. "1748" is stamped on the cylinder latch, frame and crane. Fitted with checkered grips.

Rating Definition:

Fine as reblued overall. The revolver retains 99% plus of the blue finish with a few light handling marks. The varnished grips are fine with overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
