Manufactured in 1961. Scope blocks are mounted on the rear of the barrel and front of the receiver with the extra heavy barrel tapped for a front sight. The rifle has the correct 28 inch long extra heavy barrel found on the Bull Guns. Winchester offered for sale standard Model 70 Bull Guns in 30-06 Springfield and 300 H&H Magnum calibers only from 1937 to 1963. The rifle has standard Winchester markings including the factory proof at the breech of the barrel and receiver on the left side. It has a late type safety, straight receiver tang, polished bolt numbered to gun, original bolt tag and straight receiver tang. Mounted with a target stock featuring a sling swivel, 7-position forearm accessory rail and checkered steel buttplate. Includes a wood shipping crate with Winchester factory end label numbered to gun with exact configuration and a shipping label marked from "Hong Kong Sporting Arms" to a Lt. Fred Wiedenbauer, dated "9/9/66".

Excellent plus, near new. The rifle retains 99% plus original blue finish showing a few light handling marks. The stock is also excellent with only a few light handling marks. Crate is very good with some expected cracking and light splintering of the wood. End label is fine.
