Manufactured in 1957. Super Grade Featherweight Model 70 rifles in 243 Winchester were manufactured as part of a limited production run. The rifle has a hooded ramp front sight, an adjustable folding leaf rear sight and a receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting. Jewelled bolt, follower, and extractor with the bolt numbered to the gun. It has a late type safety. There are standard markings including the Winchester factory proof on the barrel and receiver at the breech and "-SUPER GRADE-" marked on the hinged floor plate. The highly figured select walnut pistol grip stock has a raised comb, cheekpiece, multi-point checkering, ebony forend tip, grip cap, quick release sling swivels and aluminum buttplate. The factory box has the correct yellow end label numbered to the gun.

Very fine as partially refinished with the rear portion of the bolt assembly having been refinished. The triggerguard is also refinished. The balance of rifle retains 99% of the blue finish showing some light thinning on the bolt handle knob. The stock is excellent with a couple minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent. The box is good.
