Developed in Italy. The BM-59 was designed with many of the same considerations in mind as the American M14, specifically an infantry rifle that fed 7.62x51 NATO ammunition from a detachable magazine. With this low of a serial number, this receiver was likely part of the first year of production. Fixed front and adjustable peep rear sights, with an integral grenade launching muzzle, flip-up grenade sight, and a folding bipod on the gas tube . The receiver is fitted with a flip-down winter trigger, and has Springfield Armory import marks. Smooth stock, with a ribbed pistol grip and folding steel buttstock with rubber buttplate. With a black nylon sling, photocopied manual, cleaning kit and one 20 round magazine.

Excellent, with 99% of the original matte finish, showing a few small bright spots and mild handling marks. The stock is very good, with some scratches and dents. Mechanically excellent.
