This is a very fine example of a DWM Model 1906 Commercial American Eagle Luger Semi-Automatic pistol. This is a mid-production model that was manufactured expressly for sale in the United States. It is fitted with the short style frame and upper receiver with the early style 4 3/4 inch fast taper style barrel. It has the correct grip safety with the polished lower safety area and the correctly marked "LOADED" extractor. Numbered in the commercial style with full serial number "30818" stamped on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame. The last two digits of the serial number "18" stamped on the various small parts. The underside of the barrel has a small shield proof that was applied on the barrel in the 1906 time frame. The front end of the frame is also stamped "GERMANY" indicating export outside of Europe. It is complete with one original magazine that has the nickel plated body and an original wooden base, also marked "GERMANY".

Very fine with 95% of the blue finish remaining showing edge and high spot wear. The various small parts retain 50% of their straw colors. The grips are in fine condition with distinct checkering on both sides which have been cleaned and lightly oiled. A very nice representative example of an American Eagle Luger pistol.
