8 11/16 inch double edged blade, (13 5/8 inches overall) with the acid etched "Meine Ehre Heisst Treue" (My Honor is Loyalty) on the obverse and the reverse marked with the RZM logo, "1053/38" (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.), and the "SS" runes in a circle. Nickel guard and pommel, with enamel SS runes and the Nazi eagle on the grip. A triangular white paper tag is wrapped around the grip and secured with a metal rivet, marked "SS/DIENSTDOLCH/vom Reichsfurer SS./befohlene Ausfuhrung/Hersteller: M/42" (SS Service Dagger, the Reichsfuehrer SS' ordered version, made by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co.) on the obverse side, and "RZM/Reichszeugmeisterei/der/NSDAP./A No. 010817" (Reichs Quartermaster's Office of the National Socialist Democratic Worker's Party) on the reverse. With a black enamel and nickel finished sheath.

Excellent blade with a few light handling marks and a small amount of spotting on the hilt. A tear is forming on the seam of the label, with light staining and clear markings. Moderate scattered flaking of the enameled portion of the otherwise very fine sheath with 75% enamel remaining.
